The term African Fiddle can refer to one of many different instruments. African Fiddles are found all over the continent. One type of African Fiddle is the Luo Orutu. This is a single-stringed type of Fiddle that is played widely in Eastern Africa. Another type is a Gongey. This instrument is played with a bow, much like American Fiddles. She plays the nyatiti with perfection and blends that traditionally male dominated instrument with accoustic guitar and orutu to create a modern fusion of her tunes.
