One type of African Fiddle is the Luo Orutu. This is a single-stringed type of Fiddle that is played widely in Eastern Africa. Another type is a Gongey. This instrument is played with a bow, much like American Fiddles. She plays the nyatiti with perfection and blends that traditionally male dominated instrument with accoustic guitar and orutu to create a modern fusion of her tunes.
